After 18 years, Shelli will be leaving WRWA on January 13 for a new job as Executive Director of the Coggeshall Farm, in Bristol, RI. It has entered a new partnership with Sturbridge Village and will reopen under their management. We are sad to see Shelli leave, but certainly wish her all the best success in her new career path! Shelli will be remembered by children and teachers in Westport by her nature name, Heron.
During her time at WRWA, Shelli shared her knowledge and passion for the ecology of the watershed with countless students, creating the Watershed Education Program that was integrated into Westport’s pre-K-12 curriculum. It was also her vision that helped outfit the River Center with the wonderful learning tools that will help educate another generation of regional students. All the best to Shelli!
